This week, for my Popular Music in America from 1880 to 1950 class (long title, I know), we covered a unit on the blues. So, after spending 15 or so hours with the blues the last few days, I decided to fashion my look of the day after it. Of course, I’m sure this is a far more modern take on it; but hey, I feel blues-y in it.

My look of today this time reflects upon reality a bit too much. For you see, each day I tell myself that I’m gonna get some homework and housework done, so it all doesn’t pile up on me. Or, at least, maybe I could prepare a decent meal for myself. But, yeah, that never works…

The other day, Luna Jubilee proposed a closet clean out blogger’s challenge on Plurk. Desperately needing to sort, I decided to finally take her up on her offer. After running around naked in Gin and Litzi’s basements for a while (and not getting that much sorting done), this is the look I came up with for the day.

Casual Saturday

I wanted to try my hand at making a style card, as I felt quite lovely in the outfit I had thrown together for the day. It had a sort of casual Saturday shopping trip feel to it (yeah, I know, Saturday is quite a few days away, but can’t you just taste it?). I decided to use AM Radio at IDIA Laboratories for my backdrop, as I had been there before and knew I absolutely wanted to visit again to take pictures.
